This is a heavily modified ROM hack for the original Winning Eleven 2002 PlayStation (PS1). Built on the game engine of World Soccer Winning Eleven 2002, this fan-made classic completely overhauls the game to feature the teams, rosters, kits, and nostalgic atmosphere of the iconic 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
Because the patch engine retains the standard tournament layout of Winning Eleven 2002, the playable roster is divided into the exact four groups of the 1970 tournament:
